  • Todd Glassman, Co-Founder and General Counsel

    Todd Glassman

    Co-Founder & General Counsel

    As Co-Founder and General Counsel, Todd guides Quallege and its university partners in structuring beneficial agreements. With extensive experience in higher education law, he served as General Counsel for a publicly traded education company for over a decade.
    Previously, he spent 15 years in private practice in Philadelphia, where he was a partner in both the corporate and labor relations and employment law departments at his firm. He also co-chaired the firm’s education practice group and built his practice representing startup businesses.
    Todd earned his BBA from George Washington University and his JD from Temple University. A passionate Philadelphia sports fan, he enjoys music, travel, the beach, and spy novels.

    Ken LaOrden

    Co-Founder & CEO

    As Co-Founder and CEO of Quallege, Ken LaOrden drives the company’s mission to expand global education access.
    For the past 15 years, Ken has been a driving force in the online education space. As the former Senior Vice President of Partnerships for a major ed tech company, he led partner-facing teams across General Management, Marketing Strategy, Communication & Engagement, and Business Development. He was instrumental in developing and executing partner strategy.
    Ken holds a BS in Nursing from The Catholic University of America and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his two sons, adventure travel, gravel biking, and motorsports.
  • Jason Zocks, Co-Founder and COO

    Jason Zocks (JZ)

    Co-Founder & COO

    As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Quallege, Jason Zocks (JZ) leads all university partner interactions and operations, ensuring top-tier service and seamless delivery of international recruitment solutions.
    With over 16 years of experience in higher education, JZ has built deep expertise across admissions, operations, and—most notably—partner relations and program delivery. His work spans undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as alternative credential offerings, helping institutions expand their global reach and impact.
    JZ holds a BBA from George Washington University and an MBA/MS from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling and family time with his wife, two sons, and their pup, Bowie.

  • Gabriel Bustamante

    Vice President of Sales

    Gabriel leads sales and university partnerships at Quallege, helping institutions grow through smarter, tech-driven student recruitment. He’s passionate about building meaningful relationships that scale and driving results that matter.
    With 15+ years in higher ed, Gabriel has run large admissions teams, led international funding organizations, and built B2B and enterprise sales operations focused on student success. He’s worked across borders to forge global partnerships with top student services providers, always with an eye on impact and innovation.
    Gabriel earned his law degree from Anahuac University and completed postgraduate studies at Tulane. Outside of work, you’ll find him on a food adventure, traveling abroad, or taking in the tradition of bullfighting

  • Steve Carter

    Vice President Student Recruitment

    Steve Carter is Vice President for Student Recruitment at Quallege, responsible for attracting diverse, high-calibre international candidates to its global university network.
    With 20+ years of experience, he has led global teams and driven enrolment growth for top universities. He co-founded StudentApply, later acquired by QS, where he became VP of QS Apply.
    Based in Thailand, Steve oversees recruitment across key and emerging markets, India, China, Africa, APAC, LATAM, and MENA, ensuring strong local presence and engagement.
    He holds an MSc in Chinese Business and International Relations from the University of Sheffield and is a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society. He enjoys scuba diving, history, and unique local cuisines.
